Now Recruiting: Maine Impact Fellowship!
Maine Impact Fellows will develop leadership skills, investigate issues facing young people, and connect with community organizations to strengthen youth leadership. Through project work and professional development, this cohort will design key programming for the 2027 Maine Youth Leadership Conference.
Responsibilities:
Participating in MYAN’s Emerging Leader Training which includes asynchronous modules
Investigating the challenges facing young people in Maine, as well as identifying community partners committed to addressing these challenges
Developing the major themes for MYLC 2027 by gathering and synthesizing input from project work.
Supporting the design of the community dialogues, main stage events, and recruitment of community partnerships for MYLC 2027
Representing core youth values in partnership with MYAN including youth voice and choice and serving as peer mentors during MYLC 2027
Compensation and perks:
$250 stipend upon the completion of the fellowship
Certification in MYAN Group Facilitation and Peer Mentorship
Connection to a network of community organizations, future employment opportunities, and other youth leaders across Maine
Adult Opportunities
Join the MYAN team to support statewide and local youth engagement programs and initiatives that build young people’s resilience and strengthen youth leadership on issues of public health, social justice, youth employment, and restorative practices. Responsible for supporting the planning and facilitation of youth-led programming initiatives, attending & co-facilitating content and skill-based training with youth, and supporting group development. This position may involve opportunities to support the design of new curricula, co-facilitate trainings with youth and/or adults, and collaborate with other program staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-facilitate Maine Impact Fellows
Develop programming plans including contributing to facilitation plans
Attend all meetings and retreats
Provide one-on-one mentorship to participants as needed
Timeline and Compensation:
20 hours per week August 17th through April 23rd
$20 per hour
