2025 Annual Report

For more than 30 years the Maine Youth Action Network has supported young people to find their voices and take action on issues that matter to them. This year, MYAN focused on continued learning with adult partners, testing and improving program ideas in partnership with youth leaders, and celebrating the contributions young people are making in communities across the state.

Every day we ask young people to go ‘find their good’ instead of so many other options available to them – and they do. Even during the most difficult times, young people cultivate joy and offer us hope for something better. Although the 2025 calendar year was challenging in so many ways, young people in Maine continued to challenge us with their hopes and passions. As adults, when we model finding our own joy within the work, while also showing up for one challenging moment after another, we walk alongside the youth leaders among us.
