"Guard your light and protect it. Move it forward into the world and be fully confident that if we connect light to light to light, and join the lights together of the one billion young people in our world today, we will be enough to set our whole planet aglow."

Save the date for the Annual Maine Anti-Tobacco Youth Summit, sponsored by the Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine. This annual event that focuses on trying to:
  • STOP tobacco companies' lies and manipulation,
  • help people QUIT smoking and/or support others who want to quit smoking, and
  • to RESIST the pressure to smoke and help your peers resist it, too!
The Summit mobilizes youth from grades 7-12 from across Maine to come together with adult activists to fight the battle against tobacco. Attendees take part in various workshops and activities to help them gain information, resources, skills and connections to fight tobacco in their communities and create healthier homes. This event is FREE, thanks to the sponsorship of the Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine

The 2010 event will be in a new streamlined one day format. The Anti-Tobacco Summit is the day after the 27th Annual Peer Leadership Conference and groups may register for either event or for both.

Please see the Anti-Tobacco Youth Summit page for full details, including registration information.
