"Guard your light and protect it. Move it forward into the world and be fully confident that if we connect light to light to light, and join the lights together of the one billion young people in our world today, we will be enough to set our whole planet aglow."

About Our Network
What is Our Network?

The Maine Youth Action Network (MYAN) is a statewide network of support for youth and adults who are striving to effect positive change. We strongly believe in the power of youth and adult partnerships, and the capacity we all have to change the world we live in.
MYAN acts as a tool for connecting people and programs throughout Maine so that we are each part of something larger than ourselves. What makes our Network powerful is the community of individual members with their unique skills, ideas and experiences. Together we can change our state, and the world, for the better! Register to be part of it!

What is the MYAN Webolution?

We've recently started a webolution--our new website & online community take social networking to a new level, not only helping people create connections, but providing ways to dig in and discuss ideas, share ideas, exchange tips & tools, and promote your work. This website & online community make this network of youth and adults more visible, accessible and powerful than ever before, and you can be part of it! The Webolution is both the new tool and the people who are part of it. The Webolution is made up of the registered members of MYAN's broader network--people who are passionate about creating positive change on a wide range of issues and topics, such as personal health (anti-tobacco, substance abuse prevention, nutrition & physical activity promotion, healthy relationships), the environment, social justice issues, youth voice & leadership in general and many others. The Webolution includes:
  • Youth who are interested in creating positive change in their communities, the state and the world
  • Adults who value youth involvement and are interested in partnering with youth to make change happen
  • Organizations that are interested in promoting youth voice and including youth in their efforts and/or decision-making.

All of these audiences can both offer support to and benefit from our Network! Register today!

What Are the Benefits of Joining the Webolution?
